Meet Head Coach Pete Laforest

As a native of Montreal, Pete attended a boarding school in his formative years and it changed his life. With the support of his coaches, talent and grit, Pete reached levels most athletes can only aspire to reach. In 2003, Laforest made his MLB debut with the Tampa Bay Rays and went on to a career with the Expos, Padres and Phillies. He also represented team Canada in the Olympics and World Baseball Classic.

Following his 16-year professional career, Pete went on to manage professionally where he led his team to the CanAM league championship. Since his professional career, Coach Laforest has dedicated his life to helping student-athletes reach their potential.

BIO

Kyle Harris has more than 25 years of coaching experience, having worked with athletes at every level from youth to professional. He just completed a 2-year stint as the Assistant Director of Performance at Tread Athletics where he was responsible for leading a group of more than 30 coaches while helping to shape and guide all pillars of athletic performance.

Prior to his time at Tread Athletics, Kyle oversaw all aspects of business development and training at the Bob Harris Baseball School. His responsibilities included creating programming and coaching hitters, pitchers, and catchers (baseball & softball players), as well as running all strength and conditioning programming.

Kyle played four years of college baseball earning his undergrad degree in Health & Physical Education. He also holds Masters Degrees in Leadership & Administration as well as Exercise Science & Performance Enhancement. His published thesis, entitled “Integrated & Comprehensive Programming for Injury Prevention & Increased Throwing Velocity for Collegiate Baseball Players” was put up for review and accepted.

Kyle has been sought out at the highest levels of our game in both hitting and pitching development and he has had success improving performance for hundreds of baseball and softball players.

Personally, Kyle is a former drug-free professional bodybuilder and Ohio State powerlifting record holder.
